Using CAB 1 mode, everything works fine but I was wondering if there are any instructions that define what the icons on the screen mean. + and -for smoke for example are not very descriptive. If the descriptions for CAB 1 mode icons are in the manual, I have missed it and would appreciate it if you would point me to the right page or pages. Thanks.

if you are running TMCC with the legacy cab2 and the screen says cab1 change it to TMCC. push info and start turning the red knob.
I did that. Screen for the TMCC engine now shows TMCC but the symbols on the screen did not change. Smoke still shows + or - and there are no speed steps like I read there are supposed to be. Am I doing something wrong?
The + and - is just how it displays. It is correct. The speed step numbers show on the extreme bottom right. They only show while you are turning the red throttle control. Then they dissapear.
In Legacy trains an icon does show in the screen for smoke. The back pages of most TMCC manual explains what the buttons do.
