Lionel has a library of "modern" aka MPC era is on the Lionel web site. MTH stuff is on MTH service/support part of their website. PW service documents are on Olson Toy Trains site.
MTH Engine 30-1105 has Parts Breakdown but no Manual online.
This Engine came out the same year, Operations should be very similar.
ok now I got this mpc 8307 daylight made in 1983,what do I need to make it sound?The guy I got it from said not to use a zw transformer it will burn out the sound boards,to much power he said ,and the second thing is what kind of controller do I need to run all the sounds, nothin fancy ,I got one running locomotive and I just want to run it with sound..the papers say a 6-4090 will do ,does not say anthing else

Connect the tether as shown on page 3 of the manual.

The manual says 4090 or larger. The ZW will work just fine, in fact better for this locomotive than the 4090. Too much power? No way. The loco will only draw as much as it needs.
All the sounds? Well, you will get the SOS chuff, and a whistle. That's it.
