Hi!
I was wondering if anyone has used the Record feature on Legacy to do a recording of a trolley on a point-to-point path. The trolley is not a bump-and-reverse type trolley so I would need it to stop at each end and reverse itself. As long as I am doing that, I would like it to stop at several places along the way. Any tips or suggestions? Is this even possible to do using Legacy or would an ARC by necessary?

as far as I know the legacy record feature is only to record a legacy engine.

Any of the MTH subways, PCC cars or trolleys with PS2 or PS3 can do exactly what you desire, either under DCS or in conventional mode.

The Legacy Record Feature will work with either Legacy or TMCC engines. However, you can only record their respective built-in features. TMCC can be programed with it's features, and Legacy with it's features. Both can be programed, and run in the same recording. So you can mix Legacy and TMCC locomotives in the same recording. Try it, it is great. We can record both our newer Legacy and older TMCC locomotives in the same program.
