Is it possible to use the connections on the bottom of the Lionel Fastrack Turnout to deliver power to the track around the switch?
I have a scenario where I have a Gargraves turnout going to a Fastrack transition track into the Fastrack turnout. The Gargraves switch and the transition track don't have great points under it to solder to so I was wondering if I could just leave the track jumper connected under the switch and deliver power to the track section through the turnout?

Fastrack switch rails are powered if the incoming track is powered. The track jumper is for powering the electronics and controller, either by track power or auxiliary power. However, the track power depends on some fold over tabs under the switch bottom cover. You should follow the connections and solder the tabs for reliable continuity. More info here.

Don't do it, the internal wiring is very small and sized only large enough to power the switch from the track.
