Have a new Rail King Imperial Northern with PS-3 and wireless drawbar. Does anyone know if the 20-89011 drawbar set will work with this engine? Won't be able to check with MTH till Thursday hope to get a heads up and I can place a order on line before then.

on the MTH site for the 20-89011: NOTE: Proto-Sound 2.0 Wireless drawbars cannot be used on Proto-Sound 3.0 equipped locomotives.

I tried a 45mm (pulled it off an RTR locomotive) PS3 drawbar on my new MTH Northern and on my O-31 curves it kept disconnecting the connector at the tender after a couple trips around my little layout. Looked better, but the tolerances were very close between the rear cab and tender. My Northern came with a 50mm drawbar and I think to operate better on my tight curves it could even be a couple mm longer. Tolerance between the rear truck and the plastic insulator on the engine end of the drawbar is still too close and hits sometimes. You may not have this concern if you curves are larger.
Just so folks understand why the PS-2 drawbars don't work with the PS-3 is the pin count is different. PS-2 uses 10 pins (harness and draw bar). The PS-3 only require 6 pin drawbars. G
