Sunset did these in brass 2 rail, plated no lettering or interiors in the 80s. They are pretty nice, a toss up on what's better as far as a model compared to the Golden Gate Depot cars of recent. I prefer them both for different reasons. If you are an armchair modeller stick with the GGD sets. No others were produced I know of in 1/48. Lionel had toys that are as can be seen far from accurate or faithful to the prototype Budd cars outside of stainless looking with ribs.

Thanks Eric.   I did see some K-line 21" cars but they are undoubtedly the same generic cars that are used in the Super Chief and others.

I may have a lead on a 2-rail GGD set.  I can run 2 rail on my home layout (Atlas 3R track) and I prefer Kadees, but my 2R GGD PRR heavyweights don't track well on our club layout (Gargraves/Ross).  Does anyone know what 3R wheelsets will fit the GGD 2-rail passenger cars?

Bob
