This is latest version with plug and play wiring.

Per directions, since I do not use plug and play and do not connect it to devices for TMCC control, I have wired the red and black wires directly to a transformer.

Works fine.

The two figures rotate only when the switch is depressed, as it should.

Is there a way to wire this so that the figures constantly rotate without having to hold the button down?

The info you seek can be derived from the TMCC sections of the manual.  TMCC control units are written up in the manual so that they make the connection to "common" of the transformer for the 2 functions (AUX2 is an on/off toggle, so they tell you to wire the light to the terminal that corresponds to that function, AUX1 is a momentary hold like a manual button, so they tell you to wire the figures' motion to that function, while the red is hooked directly to the transformer "hot").

To do without TMCC:

Don't wire in the switch, just connect the pigtail directly to the mating connector on the accessory wire.

Wire the pigtail red wire to the "hot" terminal of your transformer.

Wire the pigtail black wire to the "common" terminal of the transformer - this will light the lights.

Wire the pigtail white wire to the "common" terminal of the transformer - this will move the figures.
