Before I buy another one of these online, I'm wondering about the range. I expected it to be TV remote like. Mine s more like 4 to 6 ft and perfectly aimed. What is your experience with these. New Batteries and a Z1000.

The user manual says 15 ft. I'd buy another, if folks think most have the range. I do like my shelf trolleys and old Conventional loops and I'm lazy.

Got to tell ya I never owned one, however one of my friends kids has one, and they have a very large basement that there layout is set up in, I remember him using it from about 5-7 feet away from the platform. I do believe that is just about as far as I saw it working.

Never mind! The receiver at the track rotates. Apparently, I've been aiming at the back. It now has all the range i need! As a matter of fact, I can't use a second in the same area as the direction isn't discreet enough. Glad I didn't buy anything
