Red Rose Motel Now going with Ben Franklin RV Park

Have not stayed in Elizabethtown, but have all over the place including at least one

long since demolished.  All you can do is check it out...turn the mattress over, and

look behind the bedboard.

I usually stay at the Rodeway Inn ($72.) or the Super8 (($88.) Both are in downtown York and less than 2 miles to the fairgrounds. Since your wife will be with you, I'd advise you to pay extra for the Holiday Inn, about a mile from the fairgrounds.

It's been there for years, the rooms are clean, no amenities at all though. Neighborhood has seen better days. I agree if the wife is along put your money in the room.

Plus that’s a long drive because you have to go out of your way to cross the river on Route 30 so what you save on lodging will be offset by pumping more gasoline at $3.50 a gallon into your tank.  I stayed in Hershey once and learned that lesson.

I have decided to take my RV and stay at the Ben Franklin RV Park. According to Google Maps it will take 8 minutes to get to the Fairgrounds from there.

$30 a night and I know she likes the accommodations!

The reviews for the park have been getting better as they transition from a mobile home park to a RV Park They have added a bath house and laundry room just recently.

Anyone else ever stay there?

Why not bring your RV right to the fairgrounds?

I've stayed on the grounds in my friend's very basic RV.

It was nice to go there for a break now and then during the show.

I considered the fairgrounds but when I asked the gentleman about full hookups he told me I'd need to get there on Wednesday and the earliest I could leave is Thursday morning. He said it was first come first serve and I just didn't want to risk not having a spot
