I've got a 1999 MTH Premier DAP Big Boy and the previous owner installed a scale coupler on the front. Since I do not run scale couplers, this prevents me from running the big boy with any other engine unless I place the engine behind the big boy. I'd like to remove the scale coupler but its glued to the underside of my big boy. So my question is can I carefully use alcohol/acetone/some other OGR forum recommended product to remove the glue without damaging the paint? The glue is clear and relatively thinly coated on the glued parts (looks like dried superglue).

that never happens).

I was trying to remove the glued on Kadee coupler to be able to use the big O scale coupler. I've got a premier UP844 northern that I would like to run in front of the big boy. In my opinion UP844 looks silly behind the big boy.
