Making rivets for model trolleys and rapid transit cars has been impossible for me. I discovered micromark has rivets on a decal. They are raised. Snip and cut and get a row of 1000 if you like or a double row. You slide them off like a regular decal when on and when painted you get a row of perfectly spaced rivets.

I've used the Archer rivets on 2 cars so far, my SAL Double-Door, Opposing End, Boxcar and my Pullman-Bradley Combine.

I had a hard time keeping them in place and had to place just about every one individually due to pattern I was trying to duplicate.  A splash of Walther Solv-A-Set seemed to hold them in place once I let the water dry off the model.

I have a closeup of the boxcar, but not the combine.  The Archer rivets are on the side sill:

Here's the entire car:

Still need some good Dalman trucks.

Here's my P-B Combine, but you can't see the rivets in this photo:

I had to swap the 3 windows on both sides (on the left of the photo) around and cut out and fill in after the row of 6 windows, then add the doors.  It was not an easy thing, to cut into that gorgeous Weaver car, but I got such a good deal on them (I also converted one into a SAL coach by swapping the 3 windows around on each side, Thanks Mike G!!!) .

I had to put in a couple of rows of rivets on the baggage door end, on both sides to match what I had removed when I made the cuts.
