I just learned from one of our forum friends of David's passing. I had not seen anything about this on the OGR forum so I thought I would let you all know. Please forgive if this has already been posted.
David was always a joy and I looked forward to his postings. He was very helpful and enthusiastic about model railroading and had plans to build an O-scale layout. I am including his obituary below.....David, you will be missed...

David Patrick Cecil, 53, of Wirtz, passed away October 27, 2012. David was born on August 8, 1959, in Bethesda, Md. He graduated from Franklin County High School in 1978. He worked as a Lineman for American Electric Power for 26 years. He was an avid collector of model trains, a gifted mechanic, and a wonderfully talented musician. David is preceded in death by his first wife, Lucinda Bostic Cecil; father, Charles Douglas Cecil Sr.; grandparents, Lawrence Cecil Sr. and Anice Cecil, and Thomas Selkirk and Stella Selkirk Bennett; and many beloved aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Goodwin Cecil; son, Adam Cecil; daughters, Sarah Cecil, Morgan White, and Jessica White; mother, Norma Jean Selkirk Cecil; brother, Charles Douglas Cecil Jr.; sister, Susan Cecil and fiancã©, Timothy Hunt; several beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins; and two beloved chihuahuas, Niki and Tito.
A celebration of David's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2012, at Red Valley United Methodist Church, Boones Mill, with Pastor Joshua King officiating.
