I was wondering, is there is a commercially available paint equivalent to Santa Fe “Mineral Brown” ? Perhaps a True-Color shade that is close.

I am repainting a MTH Premier Sante Fe steel caboose into a 1943 or 1958 paint scheme and both versions call for Mineral Brown for the car bodies.

Thanks for any input.

This may get you into the ballpark. True-Color lists 2 railroad browns specifically for Santa Fe.. #19 Brown, and #251 1945+Freight Car Brown. I couldn't find Mineral Brown in their database. I'm a customer...it's good paint.

Thanks John. I did find those two True-Color paints. I will give the #19 a try.

I have using True-Color quits a bit recently. I like it too.

I did find Floquil Santa Fe Mineral Brown on eBay but I haven’t used Floquil in 20 years!
