Saw some advertising for the York show today.

That's a smart use of advertising dollars, it targets local people and gives them the what, where, when and why (only for TCA members? not anymore).  Plus they linked the three things that are relatively close geographically and are accessible entry ways to the hobby: the show, the museum, and the library.

Ha - I saw that too!  I didn't want to bring it up with my wife at the table though, I would hate to miss out on $999 worth of trains!
