Several years ago, I built a workshop/garage with a covered patio overlooking a small Koi pond. The patio was designed with a shelf layout in mind, as the house was too small for a credible layout. On another forum, a member posted some short videos of some train action crossing a bridge from an aerial view. I was inspired to try this myself, as one side of the layout that faces the pond is open from corner to corner, with one support post in the middle. I built two wood truss trestles, and and under truss open deck wood trestle from corner to corner. Over the door to the shop on the opposing side, I built a soldered steel open deck girder bridge with hand punched rivet detail. Here are two very short aerial videos.

You might want to show the whole room so we get a better idea of the layout around the walls.

For that I have to do a video on youtube, as it would be too long to upload directly. I need to do some lighting in some of the darker areas, but it's too cold right now. That will have to wait for warmer weather. I tried using some spot lights a while back, but that didn't work.
