The clock on DCS locomotives runs all the time the engine is on powered track even if just sitting there inactive

The DCS owners manual says it measures scale miles.

Sometimes the odometer goes crazy I had one the said something like 2 million miles, I know that is wrong. At the time nobody could give me an answer as to why that happened.

I found my high milage locomotive remote

This is mine and this is no illusion I have run this that much and it has never given me a issue

It looks like the chronometer turns over after 9,999 hours and 59 minutes, so 302,545.7 scale miles divided by 10,090:33 hours (10,000 plus 90 hours and 33 minutes or 90.55 hours is about 29.98 average scale miles per hour (or 15.06 average scale miles per hour if it has rolled over twice).
