We recently completed a project to include a new train station on our layout. Thanks to the skills of Alex Malliae, the new station has both an upper and lower level. In addition, the TW Design's version of the grand ole GCT graces another part of our layout.

How about you? Please show all of us your train stations that you have installed on your layouts.

Great post, Brian.  I love seeing everyone's passenger stations.  Alex did a beautiful job on your new station and fits in so well with your layout.

I have a couple on my 8x16 floor layout.

The main town station is "Lionelville Station" which is a Lionel PRR MG Switch Tower converted for station use.  I added signage, lampposts, wood decking, andextra interior lighting for night shots. It also received an operating smoke unit for the chimney.  The chimney was crooked and in order to correct this, I had to cut it off and fill a gap.  At that time, I decided that it would be cool if this thing puffed smoke.

Butting up to Lionelville Station, on track one, are two basswood passenger platforms from Crescent Locomotive Works.  Between tracks one and two are two Lionel livery passenger platforms with a matching switch tower at one end.  The other end has stairway leading to elevated trolley line platform.

First, this is my model of the sadly, now demolished Seligman, AZ station and Harvey House on the Santa Fe.

And it looks like a lot of us bought the beautiful TW Designs Albuquerque station.  Here is my version, lettered for the main city on my layout, my hometown of Douglas, AZ

Thanks Jim for sharing this beautiful train station, Tex for your wonderful one-of-a-kind Temple Station, Al, Johnny, Chris for the classic 115, Steve, and Peter for your custom Santa Fe Station and the TW design beautiful station.

To me, train stations make a layout. Nice to see so many beautiful ones.

Where did you get your substrate that looks like brick or pavers, if you don't mind me asking?

It would be nice to make a couple roads out of that.

Robert - Thanks!

The brick is a rubberized mat made by Lemax and available in many stores during the Christmas season. Comes in different lengths. I did have it in use for a few roads, but currently am just using some for the station and parking lot area. Hope to use more in the future when I have more space!

Thanks to Cesar (love the SF Heavyweights), Mike W., Zigmont (beautiful photos), Jackson, Mikey (beautiful interiors), Jim with his terrific sheds, Jay Jay, Peter, and Roger.

From the number of posts, it sure demonstrates that everyone loves train stations. Roger's Rico Station reminds me that I have to photograph mine and post it here.

I have a partially compleated train station, that hides my tracks going through a wall. the blank side wall still needs some buildings to show the town around the station. I used parts from the plasticville airplane hanger to make my train shed. the platform now has lights and people. The main station is an HO power house, to give a forced perspective.

Sure, Anytime!

Stations add so much character to any layout particularly when it focuses on the steam era.

I got my station shot while doing a running session and it turned out pretty nice. I like the added character from the figure.

Here is the train station in the town of Beawslaiw circa early 1950's.  Beawslaiw is a rural town on my layout.  It is along the Southern Pacific mainline somewhere between San Francisco and Los Angeles.  This depot services the Southern Pacific and the Brisbane & Bushong Railroads.  Matt

Just a bare bones start with a Station that hopefully will be equipped and peopled someday soon. Custom single story Depot by Central Loco Works to fit the 084 curve. Replaced a two story MTH unit that had its sheds cut to roughly fit the curves.

MY space-eating Trailways Bus Station with platforms will be located well back behind it.

thank you I waited about 3 months for the station but it was worth it. the yellow bonnet I was lucky enough to find one for sale a few months ago it was a New A-B-A set from Williams I also found another B unit so I picked it up also. so it is a A-B-B-A the passenger cars I have for it are the 027 streamlined Santa Fe single strip car's I have the 3 car set plus an extra passenger car and the vista dome. for a total of 5 cars. so it makes for a decent train. I upgraded the powered A unit to have a err board. but the engine seems to be a little down on power so I have been thinking of doing the dummy upgrade to a powered unit and also do another err in it.

I have to say the yellow bonnets are my favorite. I have a railking f3 yellow also that I have been upgrading the decals on it there was none. and for that one I have 3 Santa Fe streamliner cars for it.  I would love to do the 3rd rail ones but I think I might be single if I did that

My beautiful Texas Santa Fe station will be going into storage.  The area where the station was is the location for my new Army RR yard (circa 1040's).  I will be replacing the Temple, TX station with another custom built station modeled after an Army base station located at Jefferson Barracks near St. Louis, Missouri.  I will have this station on my main line and a smaller freight station in the adjoining yard.  My new Army base will be named after my childhood hero........Camp Crockett.

Here is a photo of the Jefferson Barracks station circa 1940's.

Alan, that is one of the most magnificent train station complexes in our O-Gauge hobby. This thread would not be complete without these photos.

Having seen it first hand, any photos cannot do it justice. This layout is worth the trip so at some point, Alan & Lakeeta should be on your must see list.

I decided to go with a more rustic Army camp station with adobe walls and a center second story wood control tower to blend into my Western Texas desert scenes.  My "Camp Crockett" WW11 Army camp is in final stages of construction.

I'm also looking forward to seeing this when it's done.

Well, some very beautiful, nicely detailed scenes!

But don't forget the old-school charm of the Plasticiville Union Station (this is my original from the early 1960s, missing the side platforms that were discarded before modern glues were available -- wish I'd saved them).  This photo is many years old now; some minor changes and other details were added, but the look is the same.  Not hi-rail!

Take care, Joe.

OK this is getting spooky. First I copy your yard/engine service area. Then I copy your station without knowing it. Crescent Locomotive works did one for me too; brick with green trim.

I'll try to get a few pics of mine tonight...

There are some amazing stations in this thread. Congratulations, especially to those who scratchbuilt stations or integrated them so completely into their scenery.

Here's an old Lionel 121 tinplate station that I finished a couple of weeks ago. It's sort of restored, but in non-original colors. I did the walls in texture paint to simulate stucco or rough brick. My layout consists of a loop of Standard Gauge track around an 0 gauge layout, so any Standard Gauge buildings and accessories must go in the corners. As you can see, the layout is still a work in progress and I need to put in a parking lot, a backdrop, and some other things around the station.

Station in Corner 2

Here's a closer look at it, before I moved it into the corner.

From all the submitted station photos I like this most for several reasons...

there is a lot of action, all platforms are populated with figures...

plenty of tinplate structures next to multiple parallel tracks...

real vintage ambient, impressive
