Smoke Using the Lionchief App but not with Cab-1L

After switching back and forth between bluetooth/TMCC, eventually, the situation righted itself. I'm not sure the reason.  I had been switching bluetooth off when using the Cab-1L. Leaving bluetooth on seemed to allow the engine to smoke normally when controlled by TMCC. Not sure if there is a principle here, but I'd still be interested to know the reason if anyone knows, as it doesn't make sense to me.

So I noticed something similar from my Lionel Mikado (product #2131330) from 2020.  I've never gotten to poking around that much to confirm but I thought that the bluetooth and smoke switches had accidently gotten swapped at the factory. I wonder now if that a more prevalent issue.

I'd do a reset and see if that helps.  I know my later engines with BT have not suffered any oddities when running with TMCC/Legacy.

Yes, indeed. As a side note, I guess it doesn't matter if Bluetooth is left on when operating the engine via Cab-1L?

Nope, I normally leave the BT on.  I don't use BT as a rule, but sometimes I demo the capability to visitors.
