For any railfans or toy train fans in the Atlanta area; the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History in Kennesaw is sponsoring their annual Trains, Trains, Trains event from 9:30AM till 5PM this Saturday, January 24. Regular museum admission rates apply for this event. Since the weather in Atlanta looks to be rainy tomorrow, this is the perfect in door activity for young and old.
If you haven't attended before, there are operating layouts and vendors plus plenty of train related kid activities for families. Our club, the North Atlanta O Gauge Railroad Club will be there with our traveling kid's layout that provides plenty of hands on opportunity for young engineers. If you attend the event, be sure to stop by and pay homage to The General, the Civil War era locomotive made famous in the Great Locomotive Chase in 1862.
