You really don't see alot of great S scale layouts, but this was one.
I like the way he has two staging yards in storage that are assembled for an operating session. I wish I had that kind of space adjacent to my train room.
I'm an O-Scale guy, and I do have some old HO trains, but I have to admit, Ed's S-Scale layout is pretty impressive. In his video, he goes into detail about how he and some friends built structures and that viaduct (which is awesome and so detailed).
As a former S scale guy. and now an O scale modeler, its amazing what you can do with out the third rail or oversized flanges.

Dave, that begs the question of why you left S?

You can see a lot more of Ed's fantastic layout on his web site, which is:
Also, as the webmaster for the NASG web site, if you want to see more S layouts, you may want to browse through the over 500 that are listed in the site's "Layouts" section. We feature AF, hi-rail, scale, and all of the narrow-gauges, both current and demolished layouts. Some entries have photos, track plans, links to videos, and/or layout descriptions.

It includes info about how to submit your layout's information and/or photos.
Enjoy,

Bob Bartizek uses staging yards in 3-rail O scale. His Pennsylvania & Western is an O gauge layout right out of the HO scale playbook. Bob’s layout goes beyond loop running to feature two staging yards and very realistic operation on a 3-rail layout that sets the bar VERY high! Gorgeous scenery, flawless operation, and scenes from the real world, such as the world-famous Horseshoe Curve, put Bob’s layout in a class by itself.
Here are a few stills from the video...
