Sunday Scenic Showcase November 20, 2016

Great looking house, Al....really well done. Your work is always fantastic! I admire it because you are capable of things that I can only do in my dreams!

I don't have anything to contribute except an old picture. My group is going to construct an elevated  "city-type" station with a platform concourse below it. I was looking in old Model Buiders to research Frank Ellison's "Fillmore Station". While doing that I came across this picture of another Ellison build....Sunshine Bakers.....

What an incomperable talent Frank Ellison was......

He combines 3 distinct building into one, giving you the sense that this building started small and was expanded. Then, you have to take into account, that he didn't have the modelling supplies that we have today......he was just amazing, and, I salute him!

That's an awesome job you did, Alan.  At first, I didn't think it was a model when I saw the picture you had of it sitting on your hand.  

The house looks great, Alan.  I could move right in. 

I've got nothing this week.  We've been away interstate for my son's wedding and Wendy is still away for her mother's wake, so I've been here looking after her menagerie.

Built this River Leaf Models kit last week.

 Alan that house looks fantastic. Most stuff bring offered looks to 70 ish from the train manufactures. The kit builders seem to focus more on industries or downtown type structures. That house just captures the look of the 40's and 50's.
