I remembered one back east and that must be the one. It appeared in a CTT photo some years back. Don't know if it was the work of creative taggers, maintenance crews with a sense of humor, or a combination thereof. There was also a GP9 running on a branch line years back that was painted orange and white with "Lionel Lines" on the white stripe. Gotta love it.

 

Somewhere in my collection of digital photos of the Redlands Loop remnants, I have a photo of a section of track with a third rail spiked right down the center. Don't know if it was a track crew having a laugh, securing a spare section of rail or a crude bridge guard rail (It spanned a small drainage ditch bridge as I remember.) Kinda says there's a prototype for just about everything, or life imitates art.
