It seems to me in a galaxy far far away in my memory, that the small metal Sunoco sign for the oil Derrick had two folded tabs at the top of tabs to hang the sign on the tower. Am I dreaming? I have the sign (maybe it’s a repro?) and there are no curled tabs!
how would you evenly curl the tabs?
Thx

I would put the sign in a vice with a towel or other cloth protecting the sign from getting marred by the vice. It should be placed so that the vertical tabs are sticking up and with the base of the tabs even and flush with the plane of the vise. Then just fold the tabs down carefully.

If you need a second fold to make the sign "hook" around the tower, measure equally on both tabs where you want the second fold to be and place each tab in a large pair of pliers with flat jaws and bend again.
