Picked up a Lionel 221 that needed repair. Loose wheels, bad e-unit and a good clean up. I was concentrating on repairing the wheels and getting them quartered correctly. I removed the armature for cleaning but forgot to put back in before doing all the work on the drivetrain. Now I have to remove the one troublesome wheel to get armature back in.
Hopefully the wheel will cooperate a third time.
Anyone else have a bad day at the work bench?

Franktrain, you are not alone! I've done similar things on alot of different train repairs. I remember disassembling my Lionel Nuclear Reactor several times because I overlooked some small internal part. Part of the game. It's so frustrating you just have to laugh at the situation

Ah, another senior moment, had quite a few!
Funny thing is, you look around to see who you can scold, but there is no one there but you. Its so easy to forget some small part like a washer.
