track not recognizing older PS2 Brill and PCC trolleys

I have a trolley track that is layed out from o27 lionel track. Up until recently it has worked fine. Now the TIU will only recognize the 2 PS3 trolleys I have. It will not recognize my 4 older PS2 trolleys. I can add them on a test track, but when I shut off the power, I have to re add them. My DCS track signal is 9-10, and the voltage on the track corresponds to the voltage showing on the z400. Could this be a battery issue? I have tried to charge the batteries to no avail. I have switched TIU channels, and switched the TIU. No difference. Any suggestions? Marc

If you add them and when you shut off you have to re-add them, the battery may be dying/dead. That's the first thing I'd replace. Since you tried to charge them, time to replace them.
