Track plan and switch question

I only have gargraves track & switches

If you have steam engines you may want to slow down where switches are, sorta depends on the particular engine.  I have a scale 4444 that cant take a 100 switch, my Lionchiefhave no problems. I even have a few 4 & 6 wheel truck dieselsthat dont like switches.

I always have a no switch loop for these engines.

On the inner oval, you need to flip your reverse loop around so a train may reverse track direction in the forward direction instead of having to back through the reverse loop first (after using the elevated out-and-back reverse loop on the left side of the plan).

Unless, of course, that's the way you intend it to be? 

Other than that, doesn't look too bad to me. 

Thanks for the reply and pointing out the reverse loop issue. I have been drawing too many plans I see, I usually  do a run around to make sure the reverse loops are facing the correct way and missed that on this plan. Here is the corrected reverse loop. 

I have a mix of GG and Ross on the layout, never had a problem with the GG switches.  (0-42 and100's)  Some locomotives tend to bang through the frogs on the 0-42 GG switches once throwing a locomotive off the table while proceeding straight through, but for the most part I have no complaints.  IMO the Ross switches provide smoother operation and they seem to be indestructible but you do have a choice, they look better and seem to perform better, for that you have to pay.  Worth the cost I think.

I would agree with the comment from NECRAILS, it's worth spending the extra money on the Ross switches for smoother operation. Seems like a great layout, thanks for sharing.

Hello everyone just an update here. I have been able to claim a little more room for the layout. I have 13 feet x 16 feet for the layout now and have the bench work up. Here is  a plan I have been working on, it is with GG flex and switches but I think with little change it can be modified to Ross switches. The grade to the upper reverse loop is 2.8% @ 6 inches.  All turnouts are level and have at least 6 inches of level track in and out.  Please offer any suggestions or ideas for using this space.
