I didn't want to high jack Chris's thread so I started this one.

I really enjoyed Chris's story and his great photos.

For those wanting to read some first person stories about train riding, hit this link-

On the home page, select STORIES. There are tons of them to read. Some are very short, others long. Most are good and well written, some, well........ not so well written.

A really interesting view of a seldom mentioned world.

There are stories similar to the young lady that Chris wrote about and some from very well to do folks out riding for the sheer challenge of it.

A few have pictures.

Oh, BTW, while your reading some of these stores, give listen to Alison Krauss singing "Steel Rails" on YouTube- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ti16-F73hxs this song goes really well with some of these stories.

I hope you enjoy Fred's website.

For the few that think this activity is totally wrong and should be stopped, well just read a few stories anyway, you might like them.
