I want to add LED lights to my train room. My plan is to have 6 lights in the room with power from breaker box at 1 end of room and single control switch for lights at the other (by the door). Does anyone have a simple wiring diagram to share here on how to do this?

Ken, are you talking overhead lighting? If so, I replaced a switched overhead fixture with a receptacle and used these plug-in LED strip lights. For $50, it's tough to beat:
By the way, I went with the 3000K and the color is great. Very close to standard incandescent. The only "negative" I'd give the lights is they take about half a beat to power on. So you throw the switch and it's not quite one-mississippi and they're on. If you've never encoutered that in LED's before, you might think who cares? But you'll notice it. Anyway, if you want overheads, they're a good value and they'll light up a room BIGTIME. You might not use all 6 strips.

Don't know what kind LED over head lighting you have but mine come on instantly. There are 6 of them in my Train Room and they light it up! Ofcourse I have a white Train Room and dark solid wood floors.

LED lighting with white ceiling and walls, really make the big room light up.
I went with LED tubes to replace all my fluorescent T8. Went with 5000k color temperature. Very happy, I can see now.
Im putting in 6 overhead lights with a switch by the door. My power feed line is at the opposite end of the room. Im needing a wiring diagram on how to hook the wires up so this works. Recessed lighting is a bit too fancy for me. I cant have ceiling as there a water/sewer pipes overhead...
I put in track lighting with led bulbs. They are dimmable and you point them anyway you want. If you find out you need more light, you just add one. Got them all at menards, very happy. They throw out no heat.
