Unfortunately, Lionel no longer has the replacement trucks available. I'm guessing this may be a common issue with this locomotive.

Otherwise. You'll need to remove the tender shell and possibly some of the electronics and or speakers to get access to the C clip that holds the truck on.

Once the C clips are removed and pickup wires are disconnected they should come right off.

Did you look on Lionel's web page?  About two months back I bought the Hodges trailing truck under the cab to replace a broken one on my Williams brass PS4 and it was the part number from this model.

If that doesn't work, with some searching you can eventually find the correct Commonwealth 6 wheel tender trucks that match this model as MTH's and Lionel's are similar.  You might find that there is just a tender for sale too for the right price.  The Williams version of this locomotive does not have the late tender so it only has 4 wheel trucks and they are not accurate.

Another option is to find a two rail brass version of the truck and convert it to 3 rail.  A lot of cost and work through.

I have this engine and have had this problem.  The truck sideframes from the 4-12-2 will fit the truck cross member/main frame (not sure what to call it) of the Southern 4-6-2. The sideframes are very similar but not exactly the same tooling, so likely won't have any more zinc pest issues (haven't heard of any).  If you get the trucks from this one, you get white sidewall axles as an added bonus, which look great on the Pacific:
