Northtown Yard is the beginning of the BNSF Staples subdivision, and is BNSF's main yard in the area. There is a hump and diesel shop. We got great views from bridges, one of which was under repair but open to pedestrians and bicyclists. I did see a NorthStar here, and Amtrak's Empire Builder also operates through. I could have stayed all day, but dinner was approaching! Another in a great series of "Big_Boy_2005 and Mill City Rail Adventures."
