Last weekend my youngest wanted to see Paddington 2 which I knew little about. I saw the first one and know all about Paddington, just not about this movie. I enjoyed the first one quite a bit but was unsure of how a 2 could be interesting. I was wrong.
First off great movie, lots of whimsy, and I enjoyed it quite a bit. However, to my surprise was the prominent theme of steam power even including how one of the children loved and built his own live steam loco. I will stop as not to give away too much of the story.
Even better though as a prominent character is was the appearances of the UK Tornado. A beautiful locomotive with some fantastic and up close scenes in the movie. There is another steam locomotive as well which is the counterpart included in all of the Tornado scenes. Then the beautiful old style luxury rail cars to top it off.
I quite enjoyed the whole thing and highly recommend it to rail fans.
