Following up from another Atlas switch post that I asked in July, I need to know whether the Atlas switches can be wired to be used with the toggle lever controls used on Real Trax, and tubular and FasTrack by Lionel?  And if it is possible, how complicated would it be to accomplished?  I believe that the Lionel and MTH tracks have connected outer rails which may make a difference in the wiring set-up between the switch and the controller.  As I've mentioned in the past, my wiring and electrical knowledge is sparse.

Reason for asking is that I love the feel of moving levers like an old switch yard instead of enacting a button to have the train change tracks.

Lionel's post-war and modern lever switches for their tubular 022 and 072 switches I are momentary contact.  I assume Fastrak levers are too.  However, the red and green light will not work unless you use an Atlas 200 snap relay.   The post-war 027 remote control will work too, and the light as well, since it does not depend on "real feedback" from the turnout itself like the o-gauge turnouts.

Do a google image search for wiring suggestions;   "atlas 200 relay"  Hopefully not too confusing.

It's very simple - the required SPDT toggle(or slide, or other type) would need to be (On)-Off-(On). The center-off-at-rest "normal"  position has to be there. The brackets in the nomenclature indicate the operator is holding the switch against a spring, releasing will return to "normal".
