All:

I'm looking for recommendations for a static sound system or board that I can place in a building.  In particular, I want the sounds of heavy industry (heavy machinery, pressure releases, steel-making, etc.).  I am trying to get a feel for the electrical requirements, how such a board might be triggered, physical limitations, etc.

Thanks!

And I have to say that I am very impressed with ITT (Innovative Train Technology) Products.  They worked with me to create a custom steel making sound module that sounds great!

They are deserving of your consideration when you're looking for static sound systems.

ITT did the same thing for me on a couple of occasions. They listen to what you want as far as the sound file, create the file, send it to you so you can hear it, and the process will be repeated until you, the customer, are happy with it. The modules are very easy to connect in a variety of activation modes with very clear detailed instructions.

I am not sure if I have ever experienced better customer service, equal to yes (Chris at Miller Engineering comes to mind) but these guys are definatly a cut above the rest.
