Weaver Trains at York

Yes...back on 3.28.18...long since buried.

Bob Lavezzi has a lot of Weaver stuff.   Aisle GG   "All About Trains"  Orange building.

Beth Marshal has skids of Weaver cars.   Google "The Public Delivery Track"

Unless she decided to attend again, I think it's been a couple years since she has been at York selling. 

Used to always be in the Brown hall, not sure Public Delivery Track has been to York since the Brown hall vendors were consolidated into Orange and Purple.

I heard Beth moved to California and that is the reason she no longer attends York. 

I didn't see hardly any Weaver stuff at York in the fall.

I've had Weaver stuff on my tables in the past and will have some on my tables this meet.  It seems to go fast unless it is 2-rail, then it takes a little longer.

There was Plenty of Weaver freight cars at the O scale Show this past Saturday! I am sure you will see them again at the August show too!

Unless the Box is essential to you and your collection, Weaver two rail and Weaver three rail are the same with the exception of swapping out the trucks and couplers. NOw if the car requires 3 rail Die cast Bettendorf Trucks and coupler, that may be a bit more tricky to find. The Barber S2 Roller Bearing trucks even in Die cast are a bit easier to find.

I know that, and I've explained that to people looking at the few pieces of 2-rail I had, but it seems a lot of people don't want to bother with the swap.  When I have it, most of my 3-rail Weaver stuff goes in 1 or 2 meets, while the 2-rail seems to take 6 or 7 meets to get rid of, and considering I only sell at York, that can be a while.  That being said, I have been seeing more Weaver at shows, and as more people liquidate their collections, we will see more and more.  Rare and custom run stuff I had hunted down over years is now showing up more and more often at shows and on auction sites.

Boy do I miss Weaver.  To this day, for the most part it's the only rolling stock I've been buying.  Where ever I can find it.

Andy, where is your table located? I am always on the lookout for 2 rail Weaver.

Some of Weaver is relatively rare.  The Baldwin BP20 an example.   Most of the offerings can be upgraded to current electronics, couplers, lights, etc.   I always found Weaver to be my kind of hobby.

I'm in Blue Hall in the alcove area.  I don't currently have any 2-rail Weaver, however.

Andy just keep extra wheel sets and claws with you and swap them out.... Hudson J1e : I have a bunch of Weaver Roller Bearing Delrin trucks.  I'll be at York.

One of Weaver's later projects was TOFC's, an interesting train/flat car load. 

H 30 Cover hoppers were also a late Weaver offering. 

Die cast trucks/couplers.  There were other car accessories, note the added weight for a coal car,  Silver/tin colored, center weight added.  

Cars could be purchased unpainted/un-decorated.

Coal loads were also from Weaver.
