I know, I am 15 hours early for Weekend Photo Fun. However, I have to be at Roanoke Memorial Hospital for a heart catheterization first thing in the morning. So I am starting the thread now and hoping to take a look at the forum later in the day tomorrow.

Last week we tore down of the Monopoly layout at the Virginia Museum of Transportation.

As you can tell we are already converting it to a Dinosaur (Jurassic World) Layout for the Summer. Since there is no Jurassic World rolling stock I will have to make due with a Lionel LCCA Dinosaur car plus some MTH Railking Overton cars I have repainted.

Wednesday I spent my morning trying to create a jungle in the back of the window. Next week, if my health allows we will try to build the fence areas for the T-Rex's. Yes I know the jungle is not made up of scale plants---it's for the kids and the scenery comes out of my pocket. Most of the scenery came from the Dollar Tree, with some from Michael's. I bought some grasses from Scenic Express that will be used for an open meadow. I hope to get to that next week as well.

Next week I'll try to start this thread at the normal time. Let's see your pictures.

thoughts and prayers to you Scott.

I let my new to me Marx CP steamer stretch her legs today. I got a Wedge tender with it, but it looks too small. I've always liked the longer tenders with my steamers. I want to get a Canadian Pacific tender and some eight wheel prewar cars, but for now I like the look of this Lionel short streamline tender. Just need to get some CP decals.and the engine is going to get pilot and trailing truck and become a 2-4-2.

and while the engineer gains speed on the 6743, the fireman climbs on the cab for a quick shot.

Been there, done that! (but not in Roanoke) It's not so bad, I've been through worse! Listen to your doctors! Good luck!

Scott will be thinking of you today, just had some skin cancer removed on Wednesday, stiches pulling like hell so no lifting for 3 weeks.

As trains are getting too expensive for me have been collecting some more busses, will need a larger layout!

Had to get this one as I remember riding on it in the early 60's Paris

Mr. Scott I hope you're feeling better today. Its early yet: 6:44 in the morning.  I like the plants in your jungle layout, now I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for out of the box landscaping.  For what its worth in high school I can remember our little group joking about a 'Dinosaurus Rex' which we thought was a historical name for a species.

Best wishes Scott

The week being what it was, I'll re-post last weeks pictures.

Pictures from Antietam National Park, battle field, Sharpsburg, MD. and the Baltimore Railroad Museum.

Additional pictures.

Young guy in the last picture, Sterling, my youngest Grandson was born, St. Francis hospital, Baltimore, not far from the museum.
