"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.

Post your non-O scale stuff here!

Some shots of the Apple Valley HO club layout this week. At the monthly meeting one of the members was selling a table full of items and I scored this older BLI N&W Class A at a real bargain. He threw in the aux tender for free too.

Also I won an Athearn UP FEF Northern No 836 a month or so ago online that I've been looking for awhile. These are about 10 years old now and have primitive sounds but are beautiful locomotives. Not cheap either when you can find them. Was able to snag it for under $300 however but realized that it was in Switzerland with 'economy' shipping offered for $20. It took over a month to arrive! They swear it didn't travel by boat either.

 Two of my favorite locomotives!

The Class A.  This is an early model with 'Quantum' sound. The latest on is probably 3 generations along and has the out-put of low frequencies to a powered subwoofer. Should sound terrific with that feature. I believe several forum members have posted them before.

Glad to see you back Jeff!

In regards to the new campfire I had added, I originally had thought of adding a smoke unit under the table besides the fire flicker, but remembered the glass plate that forms the lake extends several inches back from the lake edge. Even using a special drill might crack the glass! In the end a little cotton works just fine for smoke. Even the wire for the fire flicker bulb is on the surface of the "ground" and not through the table because of the glass below the soil.
