I'm going to depart from my usual scenery-focused submissions, here, and follow the lead of several voices who have featured their motive power for this weekend's treats.

Black steam locomotives are my favorite, in real-life RRs as well as on the layout...

but when I am in the mood for colorful livery, these are several of the locomotive combinations I run on a particular pair of parallel, neighboring tracks, for their color and flash (!)...

Sneak peek at progress on my Pool Hall and Private Eye building. Last week I showed my Pool Hall, now here's the partially completed Private Eye upstairs.

It's quiting time, the cleaning lady is here. Secretary putting her high heels on. At the last minute, a new client comes into the office. A rich, middle age lady who thinks her husband is going to murder her for her fortune. Richard's, side-kick is listening in, ready to assist in the case if Richard takes it.

Oh the fun of it all!

On this past Saturday Aug. 8th, the TCA Southeastern Division held it's summer train show at The Kerr Scott Building, North Carolina State Fair grounds, Raleigh NC.  Considering it is the summer, we had a good turn out.  Our outdoor train ride also drew families from the the fairground open flea market.  Hope you enjoy the following pictures:
