What Does Santa Do in the Off Season? 10/31 Update

That's going to be a first rate Santa Land, Peter!!  The Santa Sleigh is an ingenious reuse of old stuff!  Leave it to Santa!  Even better is getting the chance to sit with him and tell him your list.

I always knew Santa liked trains.....😆

Impessive!  Your local community is lucky to have the River City 3 Railers do this project!  I love that wood floor!  People pay good money for that kind of floor!

Tom is building a control panel next to his seat. There will be an on/off button that turns the vacuum on/off. It will be behind the seat and provide “thrust” to escape the earth’s gravitational field…….

Woah!!  I always wondered how Santa did it.  Those reindeer can’t possibly do it all but themselves!

Sorry to hear you're losing your modular store front. But you guys sure figure out how to do neat stuff with trains. If any of the train manufacturers were smart, they'd give you some support and get you to give out catalogs of starter sets. If they still make catalogs of starter sets.

What better way to re-purpose a sleigh bed!  Santa looks awfully familiar.

The sleigh is pretty heavy. Right now I am looking at CV's of reindeer candidates to increase the number to 16.....

..........going forward ......I'm not sure in the OFF SEASON  I could handle SANTA in a speedo.

Santa is done and ready for the season…..Tom does amazing work!

I bet it weighs 300 lbs. It will probably stay with Santa Land.

Tom did do a great job!  I’m with jpc it looks quite heavy.

Well, it has to be heavy to hold up to all the stress of carrying so many toys, and Santa too!

Maybe just motorize -- perhaps a blown hemi -- instead of the traditional reindeer? It's hard to get good tundra moss this time of year, and *expensive*, what with Holidayflation and all . . .

Here are the latest pictures from Tom.....I mean Gilly......I mean Santa..... I think all will agree that Tom really outdid himself in both plan and its execution!

Right before Santa Land opens, we'll set up our two small layouts, flanking the path to Santa.....

What is the vacuum cleaner for?  Extra power for takeoffs?  That is a really neat sleigh - can't wait to see it with Santa driving.
