What is the name and address/city of the hotel in or around York that people sell trains out of their room and parking lot?

It's ilegal to do so

It used to be called the Billy Bud years ago.  The township over there made everyone get a tax license, most didn't.  There are only a few tables in the ball room, nothing in the rooms or parking lot.  Really not worth the trouble.

Now the Wyndham.

Billy Budd has two D's. The BB was actually a Holiday Inn. Because of zoning they had to change the name of it. It's now a Days Inn. As for trains, there is not much there anymore.

Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday there are bandit shows in several places.

Was the Holiday Inn, now the Wyndham.  In lot unless inclement weather; then inside.  Ends about 3 on Wed.  There are usually a good number of would-be sellers.

No, those pictures are of the old Holidome, now renamed The Wyndam.  The old Billy Budd was the one across from The Around the Clock Dinner.  That is now  Day' Inn.  Nothing Left to make it worth while in my opinion.

And if that’s not confusing enough, before what is now the Wyndham was a Holiday Inn, it was a Sheraton, the name by which it is still called by many York old-timers!  The ballroom and all meeting rooms on the first floor would be full of trains plus the parking lot would be so full of tables that buyers would have to park at the Mall below and walk or take a shuttle bus up to the hotel.

But the hotel that I remember members selling out of their rooms was the Billy Budd because the doors and the windows in those rooms faced outside.  So guys would open the curtains and line their trains up on the table in front of the window or on the bed so they would be visible from the outside.

Those were the days!

Bill, You are right on. tca 77-

Billy Budd was something of a pirate.  First assigned to the HMS Omnipotent, he got in over his head and jumped over to the ship Rights of Toy Trains, which seemed like a good move but ultimately led to his demise.
