I have have mine & my daughters. If for some reason I can't go, it's just a $30. contribution to the ED.

I do.
Same here.
I'll wait till July to see if there will be a York meet in Oct. Judging by the threads on the forum, York is declining so fast there may not be an October show.
For that matter. I may as well just go to 20 Greenberg, Big Easy, WGH, and last thaw train shows so I can see less trains than one York show.

I'll take you up on that offer. Wasn't planing on getting mine for awhile so let me know.
I picked up my Oct. badge last Friday in the Silver hall. I'm glad they offer the onsite registration.
Picked up two for my wife and I on Saturday . They will mail my son's badge, his wife and two boys later. We had a great time at York. I love it!
Gary, I don't understand what you are saying here.
It is a very nice option to have; give credit to the Eastern Division for providing this service, I have my October badge.
I will get mine online sometime before the registration deadline. Figure if I wait till then, I can make 3% interest on the $15 fee so it lessens the $50 yealy TCA membership fee! Lol!
Besides, I want to make sure I am alive comes October 17th!
Badges? ....we don’t need no stinking badges! ..
Picked up badges for my wife and I before I left on Saturday. Start the countdown Eddie!!
Mine is in my badge holder in the pocket behind the driver's seat.....I'm ready.
At 77, I don't want to temp fate. If I'm still breathing in August, I'll sign up.

I'm not sure what you asked in the first place; "there" has the connotation of location, as in "here" or "there". Your question seems to be asking about possession, as in "their badges for York"...

Sounds to me like if Eddie couldn't go to York for what ever reason, he was selling his passes? and I was offering to take them but that must violate some Eastern Division rule somewhere. Right? Don't worry Eddie, I'll get my own passes this summer as I've got my reservations all set for Oct
Hey, I asked if I could buy badges for the next five years, I was told October 2019 only but I tried.
Dave
John S and I have our badges.
Jim D
We have ours--we're ready!!
John
GARY, I still don't understand. I'm not selling anything.
I have to renew my TCA membership soon. I need to do that before getting my badge. I might get arrested if I don't follow the procedures to get to York. I'll look into doing that maybe first week of May.

Sorry Ed,
I misread your post.

Sorry Ed,
I missread your post.
I did as well(misread). Its understandable with how this weeks gone(can I say FUBAR?). I am so glad I'm going to my local train store tomorrow. Amen!!!!!
I really enjoy walking to Silver Hall on Thursday morning after breakfast to pick up my badge. For me it's a nice way to spend 20 minutes or so on opening day. I haven't ever considered getting it early. After all, it's not like they're going to run out of badges.
I picked up mine last Thursday morning.

Have some from years past. Don't know why I kept them.

Memories? I have my two from my October York's. They sit next to my concert tickets.
Got mine Eddie G. It was great talking with you and learning of your “finds” this past York.
Side Rod
Bought my October tag from Debbie on Friday.
See you all in the Fall.
I have all my badges from the last 10 years - a veritable rainbow of colors. I'll just recycle one with my TCA card covering the dates. No need to even register!
-Greg
Greg,
You will need a light green color for October!
I'm sure that Greg Houser is kidding.

Think of the $$ he would save over at the years by doing that. More $$ for train purchases!

They have to rent the buildings like 2 years in advance, so there will be a October show.

You could send them to me, I don't have any......never been. I'm just wondering what the spring 2020 York weather will be like.

Well, I scheduled my October vacation for York, and renewed my TCA membership. Now I have to look into my hotel accommodations and register.
Badge arrived in mail earlier this week.

I do. Arrived last week. I registered online.
Badge arrived last week. Fast. I registered online.
Mine should be coming very soon. Somehow there was a mixup when I renewed my TCA membership back in the beginning of May. When I registered online I figured it would be sent about the time they say they mail them. Well, I got an email saying I hadn't renewed my TCA membership. I got the invoice, sent it back in the email and called the TCA office next day. All parties were splendid in getting everything worked out. So nice to chat with people who don't sound grumpy when you say there's a problem. Must be the trains.
Picked mine up at the April York meet.
Interesting that Eddie's daughter is going. I took my daughter once and she enjoyed seeing what it was all about but it was not the kind of event where she would want to go again. I suppose the hobby could grow quite a bit if more ladies got interested in it.

Yes, I am kidding but with my sense of humor I may just try it in April as I do already have my authentic badge for October.
-Greg
My daughter loves going with me. We are down there the whole week. She loves the restaurants, and she loves the outlets in Lancaster. First place she goes is the Coach outlet.
Well, as promised my badge arrived today in the mail. Gotta love that.
I do. I also have ordered my OGR shirt to wear at York. I have to assess the risks of wearing an OGR shirt to the 50th birthday party instead of my NJ Hi-Railers shirt.
Gerry
If I'm still breathing, I drive to York and register.

Sounds a lot like my wife. It's great you get to spend the time with her.

Not yet going to register this week
They told me that my badge should be delivered sometime after August 1st.
I just got mine this week and it is in the holder on the hook in my workroom. I need to look into accommodations, with the consideration that I may not be able to attend.
yes, last week.
Not me. I always wait to register there. That way I can flirt with the ladies!
I got my badge and TCA renewal last week after whispering the secret code words, using the secret handshake, and a wink...wink...nudge..know what I mean, know what I mean???
Those TCA business office ladies are the best!
received mine last week in the mail ,always apply on line ,saves time ,great service
TCA took care of my missing badge for my young engineer. Ready to go. Still need a roll of quarters though!
Registered online and now the waiting begins.

I just got mine on Saturday!!!!
Not only do I have my badge, but I have my OGR shirt which I will proudly wear to the Forum Thursday night dinner. It is posted https://ogrforum.ogaugerr.com/...irt-at-nj-hi-railers.
Gerry
I register in person on Wednesday for the following meet. This way I have the badge already and it is one less item I need to worry about.
I got mine before I left in April, a good TCA idea, this was
I have mine.
Santa Fe Mike, I've visited the Trainmasters' open houses many times, one of the great club layouts on Long Island.
Always enjoy re-discovering it
I have mine. And I also got one for my wife as I always do since it’s only a few bucks. But she has yet to attend with me. We will see if she goes this year, but I’m not counting on it.

I got my OGR shirt hoping for its debut at York, but as I mentioned earlier, I will have to wait for another time,
Got mine and my wife's yesterday. Hotel is booked and we are ready to roll.

Is there a Brown Hall? If so, is there any vendors in it? Thank you
Brown Hall wasn't open the last few times I went.
Ordered mine on 7/26, received it on 8/6.
Greg - Mi posted:Is there a Brown Hall? If so, is there any vendors in it? Thank you
No vendors in the Brown Hall anymore.
-Greg
I'm guessing they'll all fit in the Orange hall now, space is being freed up every meet.

I assume the discount applies? $16.50?
Got mine! I'm very excited to go since I missed April this year (but not as bad as my 20 year gap from 92-2012!)
Ordered mine on Friday for my wife and myself. This is our first trip back there since 1989. Previously attended both the April and October meets from 1982 through 1989 religiously. I know things will be different as far as crowds within the halls, number of bargains to be bought and hidden gems under the tables in boxes. I was looking through a folder I came across with all the paper flyers and parts lists the various dealers would have out on the tables. This was our source of developing my next shopping list. Certainly a different hobby strategy prior to the internet. However, our trip will still be a blast and I am certainly counting down the days.

My gap was 1987-2005. However, I did put up a Christmas layout every year from 1986, but did not go to York again until '05.

I may be in the minority, but for various reasons, I think York is "better" now...like no more frantic "collectors" running around like maniacs.
Still waiting for mine. I registered a couple weeks ago.
I ordered ours on 8/13 over the phone due to website issues. Was told that they would be sent out by 8/23. Received them on 8/27.
My wife and I preregistered in the spring for this fall meet. We enjoy the York meet but with them dropping Thursday in the spring we will probably not go to the spring meets anymore. Its a 2 day trip to get there and Thursday worked out great for us. But I understand not everyone has the same situation
Badges, Badges? We don't need no stinking badges!
Sorry, couldn't resist.

I’m still waiting
Registered on line. Had my badge within 7 business days. Great experience!! Planning on being at York all day Friday 10/18!
Just got our badges. My 2nd York. Room is booked, we are good to go!
My wife and I received ours last week. Hotel reserved, free rental car waiting, GPS set for York Fairgrounds (and Bird-in-hand). See everyone up there.
David
Still waiting, I called EDTCA they are checking.
My wife and I got ours four days ago. Sent a check in since I do not like paying the web fee. No hotel this year; only going up on Thursday. I'll probably be in an electric wheelchair due to a foot injury that will still be healing.
Hi. I received mine last Thursday.
I got approval for vacation today. If Ithe stars line up, then I'll just register on Wed in the silver hall, Lord willing.
It's possible, that I'll realize I can't make it and have to turn back. But if I make it to Memphis, then I should be okay.
I'd really like to make it one more time.
I received mine a couple of weeks ago.Cannot wait.
