Looking for opinions on the WBB 72' Heavyweights. Four car sets can be had for $150 new. I have never seen these first hand.
I realize these have no interiors, and the NYC version two-tone gray is reversed (just like K-line), and I may be using the observation for a bash/repaint.
How do the shells stack up to MTH & Lionel? How do these compare to the older K-Line "Heavyweights"?

The shells almost look like MTH Premier sets without the interior. Heck I purchased the green rpo and combo car set for my 1989 green Williams 72' five car set.
Agreed - these are very nice cars for the $. I have 6 that I run with MTH Streamliners on my Chessie Steam Special consist and they fit right in. They are a little shorter than Lionel 18" cars, but are close enough to not notice. Here is a video of my consist - they are the ones with the Silver roofs. The ones with the gray roofs are Railking 60' cars:
