Would the ERR RailSound Commander be a good upgrade for my MPC Lionel F3 B-unit?

Looks like what Im looking for.

I recently let the smoke out of the Electronic Horn board on my NYC 8371 - and remembered ERR being mentioned somewhere here.

I also want lighting for the B-unit cab - and it looks like there is another board for that - but I only run Conventional at this point and it looks like too much

I just want the portals lit up like the A units - might take a simpler approach for that one.
