I been watching your request thinking for sure there would be some of these coming and I would pick up one if the third one showed up.
Larry
Have a new one from the original company prior to Lionel purchasing them, with box and harness.

Larry, I'm surprised as well. Didn't see any at York. Have contacted several hobby stores. Nada. Zip. Zilch. I don't understand it. These can not be scarce and with Lionel bringing out a PowerMaster that supercedes the TPC, I would expect the supply to be ample.

I am not surprised that there isn't an abundant supply of TPC 300's available. When Lionel bought out IC Controls and added the TPC 300 and TPC 400 to their product line was around the same time as the 180 watt power bricks. To pass all 360 watts to the track from two 180 watt bricks required a TPC 400. And if someone owned several of the 135 watt bricks three of them could be attached to a single TPC 400. Lastly, the price of the TPC 300 from Lionel was considerably more than the original IC Controls TPC 3000. I bought two of the original TPC 3000's (along with many other IC Controls products) but could not see purchasing any more expensive TPC 300's with the TPC 400 in the catalog. All of these things made the TPC 300 less attractive than the TPC 400 which I believe lowered demand for TPC 300 units. Less demand, lower production, none available today. Just my $.02.

Greg,
Thank you for the analysis. I learned something. I wonder if I should be looking for TPC 400s?
Thank you again.

That's exactly what I thought. Oh well I don't need them like it sounds you do. I was just going to get a back up for the ones I have.
I guess Gregg may have some logic on the subject.
Good hunting George.
