Many would consider the big and burly 400e as their favorite Standard Gauge engine! I'm a fan as well...but my absolute favorite is the 408e! I chose the not so common color choices...all packed up but when the train platform is built next month...they'll be riding the rails again. The turquoise looks great with the girl's cars....

Well, that is a tough question, I love em all!  All prewar standard gauge original paint run great. 384, 390 Blue Comet, 1835, 385, 385, 392

But the girl above is my honey.  My dad’s #10 gray set, gray and maroon cars, and she is sporting a green frame, kinda rare from a special run.  And is the smoothest running engine in the fleet.  And this is the set that got me the standard gauge bug.  Forget the overpriced technology, I got out of that and really appreciate 90 + year old trains that look and operate like new, or close enough  haha.  So cool.
