I have an MTH CP SD90 part #20-2299-1. It will not smoke. It is Proto 2 with 5 volt boards. I took the shell off of it and fired it up. I can see the smoke unit fan is spinning, and I can feel air blowing out of the smoke stack. I then opened it up and checked the wick. It looked good too. Soft, and wet. I addad a little more smoke fluid (JT's Mega Steam) and put it bAck on the track, and still no smoke output. I also made sure the the smoke volume was set to max thru my DCS, again (I always like my engines to be on max smoke). Any ideas on what could be wrong with this thing, or how to fix it?

Trace purple and brown wires from the smoke element PCB back to the 4 pin connector on the PS-2 board for continuity.  Make sure any 2 pin connector between smoke element and board is fully installed, no pins pushed out.  After that try a factory reset.  After that board needs to be tested for a bad fet.  G
