I bought a few kits for my new layout from Forum Members.
One of them was the Plasticville Bank in Green Plastic. Looks strange.
So I tried my shaky hand at painting it Granite Grey and a little dark grey from Michael's.

Larry: I'd say it looks more reserved now-more in keeping with the banking "look"......
The original green was more of an "in your face" look.
Better!!!!
My guess is Plasticville may have produced the bank in "green" to represent the color of money.
Yours definitely looks better.
My green bank box says it was a Plasticville club run.
If you are asking about the change you made, that suggests, to me, that you feel it may need something more done to it. I'd suggest trying your hand at some weathering. (a)Water-down the darker grey paint and use it as a wash, here-n-there over the lighter grey. (b) and/or try your hand at weathering powders. Even if you do not like the results of either or both attempts at weathering, you can paint over it and try again. Our hobby is full of creative adventures.
An example of us letting ourselves experiment and change models would be this water tank. When I first opened the box, it was all a bright grey plastic. Then, I went wild on it , and this is the result. Of course, I am not suggesting you do such a weathering job on your bank, but I am suggesting the fun of taking a chance and, perhaps, being contented with the results.

Thanks for all the comments. But I have never weatherd anything in my 25 years of different layouts.
And I don't have a supply of paints etc and only my dining room table to work on. I'll leave the rest of my plasticville building alone. All though I painted the roofs on my 2 little cape cod cottages.
I think your bank looks great! I love Plasticville, there is so much you can do with it or you can leave like it is. Plus its usually really inexpensive - a rare thing in this hobby.
