After 32 months of intermittent post-retirement construction, trains are rolling! Loosely based on Jersey's New York and Long Branch railroad of the 40's and 50's, with some emphasis on the loop at Bay Head Junction, where I hung out as a kid, watching Pennsy and Jersey Central. The rest of the pike is designed for long straights, wide curves, a yard or two, a bridge, and some elevation changes. Currently configured as a DCS-only operation, overall dimensions are 17' x 33'.

CNJ freight crossing the bridge on a 2.5% upgrade. The area on the right with the stub tracks and hatch opening will eventually be underground, with a farm and grainery on top.

Followed by a Pennsy K-4 pulling a passenger consist up the hill, with a CNJ Camelback heading down the 5% slope in the background.

The somewhat anomalous presence of a VIA Rail Canada "Canadian" climbing the hill is a result of a couple of great trips that my wife and I took on that train.
