The O.Winston Link Museum has just come out with a new CD of Link's recordings while riding time freights #84 & #85 while riding the top of a caboose behind engine #1238. My copy has just arrived and I have yet to find the time to listen to it. The recording begins in Roanoke with an S1a tagging the cab, used for carrying equipment, on the head end of train 84. Then train then heads east for Crewe, Va. 1238 is also recorded westbound on train 85.

Got my copy today and listened to it at "realistic" volume through the best headphones I had in the house. Class A all the way!!!

Listening on headphones does heighten the experiance!
