Well you can always download it from the engine using the DCS loader program.

I'm not sure if you'll have enough ROM space on the engine as it is most likely only 1MB in size. Most (if not all) 5v boards were made in this size.  If it does fit and you can add the feature, you should be able to pull the SXS sound from just about any F3 sound and amend into a new file for your set.

Rule of thumb to follow - If you download the file from your engine make a backup of it right away and do not modify the original.  In the event you need to restore the engine back to its original state, you have it!

when pulling the file from the train using the loader, does it wipe the file from the train or just make a copy that is download to the computer.

It only copies the file,  the engine will retain the file until you use the loader to upload a new file and replace it.
