I'm trying to get a 260E running.  It has the pendulum reverser unit and a chugger.  Somebody at one point removed most of the wiring and direct wired it for forward only operation.  That wiring has now disintegrated and I am trying to rewire the whole thing.  As I have found on this forum and other places, almost all of the wiring diagrams available for the 260E show the version with barrel E-unit.  Mine has the pendulum and chugger.  I'm trying to piece the wiring diagram from other STD gauge engines with chugger, but I am really confused about the flapper that sits between the reverser coil and the motor.  It appears that the coil will swing it when energized and break the contact.  What is this supposed to do?  My guess was that it would break the circuit to the reverser coil so that would not stay energized all the time?

And if anybody has any information or wiring diagrams for a 260E with pendulum reverser and chugger that would help me out with my restoration, I would be very appreciative!
